COVID-19 - Deliveries continue

Because our production is entirely French and uses French or European raw materials, the closure of several Chinese regions has in no way affected our production of hygiene, cosmetics and textiles.

Since President Macron's announcement on Thursday March 12, our various partners have taken the sanitary measures necessary to ensure good production continuity.

We have enough stock to calmly continue our activities in the coming months.

Currently, the delivery companies we work with continue to deliver.

Some delays are to be expected. Even for our foreign customers. Currently, we continue to deliver to all of our customers in Europe and worldwide, including in the UK, the United States, Russia, Asia, and Italy. Only deliveries in Lombardy (Milan and surroundings) are currently not possible.

ABOUT JOONE

Where does the name joone comes from?

One of our partners has a French-Iranian wife (the mother of his two teenage daughters) and, on his many pohone calls to them, he frequently calls them Joone,a farsi word for "darling" or "sweetheart" which is used when talking to children. We thought this would be a really sweet name for our company.

Who is the company run by?

Carole and Robin met in July 2016 and decided to set up a project based on values rather than a product. For more information, we invite you to read Carole’s article Pourquoi faire des bons produits [Why to make good products) where she clearly explains why we maje our nappies. Then Lucie, Inès and Thomas, and more recently Audrey, Hedwige, Sarah, Esther, Sylvain and Emilie joined our team .

What commitments has JOONE made?

Our values are transparency, a caring attitude and good business practices. These are not just words, they are values we have known to be indispensable since 2017 when we began our adventure as a company.

We have been very clear with all our investors and collaborators. We have only signed contracts with people sharing our values. Not everyone has been happy with that and we have received a lot of rejections, but they do not bother us and, fortunately, there are more and more people who do share our values !

JOONE SUBSCRIPTION MODEL

How does the JOONE subscription model work?

Joone only sells its nappies on an online subscription model. You become part of the JOONE community from your first order : you will receive one delivery a month, and can change your sizeor print preference, and cancel or pause your subscription at any time.

How much does a JOONE subscription cost?

A JOONE subscription cost € 64.90 per month. It is important to us that you understand how we calculate that cost : see our Transparency   page for a detailed explanation.

How many nappies will I receive each month?

Your subscription includes all the nappies you will need for the month, that is:

  • 192 size 2 nappies
  • 162 size 3 nappies
  • 144 size 4 nappies
  • 120 size 5 nappies
How can I change the size or pattern of my nappies?

You just need to log on to your Joone account.

Click on ‘Manage Subscription’ and your current subscription will appear on the screen. You can either cancel it or change the type of nappies (size and pattern) you receive at any time.

What happens if I don’t change my size and pattern?

You will automatically receive the same size and pattern as the previous month.

How can I pause my subscription?

Easy, just click on ‘Manage Subscription’ and your current subscription will appear on the screen. You can pause it, cancel it or change the type of nappies you receive at any time.

Can I have more than one subscription ?

You can have multiple JOONE subscriptions without any problem.

Is there a special subscription for twins ?

We also have a special offer giving the parents of twins 50% off their second subscription. Parents should contact us using the contact form to take advantage of the offer.

Can I send an order back ?

Of course and at no extra cost. If you are dissatisfied with your order or have received the wrong one, contact us   and we will send you a form to attach to the parcel. All you need to do is post it to us.

How long does an exchange take?

We can send you your new order 48 hours after you have put the items to be returned in the post.

PAYMENT

What means of payment do you accept?

We accept most credit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX…)

When will my card be debited?

Your card will be debited every week on the day you started your subscription. For example, if you started your subscription on the 12th of June, you will be debited on the 12th of July, 12th of August etc.

How can I change my card?

You just need to update your card details on your personal area of the site.

I would like to give a subscription of a few months as a present to a friend.

We have a special offer which allows you to give a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription as a gift to your friends, children, grandchildren or colleagues. Look at our Giving   page for details

SHIPPING

How much are the shipping costs?

There are no shipping costs for France, Belgium and Luxembourg. The price of €64.90 is all-inclusive : it includes delivery, after-sale services, nappies and paper.

Do you deliver overseas ?

With Colissimo International we deliver to many foreign countries. These are the average shipping costs :

  • Germany and the Netherlands : €5.90
  • Austria, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK: €7.90
  • Algeria, Denmark, Finland, Morocco, Poland, Sweden, Tunisia : €9.90
  • Canada, Japan, United States: €49.90
  • Dubai : €59.90
How do I change my delivery details ?

You just need to update your address on your personal area of the site.

When will I receive my first order ?

Your first parcel will arrive 48 hours after you register. Your second parcel will arrive 1 month later.

Do I have to pay taxes at destination for international shipping (outside EU) ?

For non-EU countries, customs fees and VAT can be charged at destination by local customs service. These taxes are collected by the transporter, at the expense of the client.

Can I receive my next order sooner, if I run out earlier than expected ?

You can log onto your Joone account at any time and change the date of your next delivery before you have a nappy crisis !

OUR PRODUCTS

Who designs JOONE nappies ?

Our nappies are made in a factory in the Vosges region. All designs are created by our own design team, and we are the only company who use them.

Who produces JOONE nappies?

Our factory is located in the Vosges region. It is a French SME run by a very nice family team. They have been making nappies for ten years, and they are remarkable people who are committed to making the best possible products for their customers (you), while respecting the environment.

Are there chemical products in JOONE nappies ?

Our nappies contain SAP. It is a chemical component used in all nappies made anywhere in the world, even those which are supposed to be ‘organic’, ‘biodegradable’, ‘vegetarian’ or ‘vegan’.

SAP is a synthetic material which has been used for more than 20 years and which all nappies sold everywhere in the world have in common. It is used because it can absorb up to 150 times its weight.

SAP is a product which is not toxic and does not irritate or sensitize the skin. The SAP used in Europe is subject to EU regulations which make it better quality than that used in the US and Asia, for example.

The outer envelope our pretty patterns are printed on is a very lightly woven polyethylene : this means that it never touches the baby’s skin, which is allowed to breathe as much as possible.

All the components of our nappies are regulated, dermatologically tested and respect all French and European legislation.

Do JOONE nappies include lotions or perfumes ?

No, there are no cosmetic products in our nappies. That is why we do not issue a list of INCI products used in our nappies. For all cosmetic products, issuing such a list is in fact compulsory, and many of our competitors who use lotions in their changes have to provide them.  

Do you test your products on animals ?

JOONE’s founder has been a passionate defender of vegetarianism and animal rights for more than 20 years. Respecting animal right is very important both to her and to the whole team. So no, JOONE never tests its products on animals.

Why are JOONE nappies not sold in supermarkets ?

When you buy a product in a shop, a large part of the price goes to the distributors (a 30 -50% profit margin). At JOONE, we want to invest in our products, not give margins to our distributors. That is why our nappes are only sold on our platforms and delivered directly to you.

DAILY USE OF JOONE DIAPERS

What size should I choose for my baby ?

We advise you to choose your nappy size according to the size and weight of your baby.

  • Size 2 for babies weighing between 3 and 5 kilos
  • Size 3 for babies weighing between 4 and 8 kilos
  • Size 4 for babies weighing between 7 and 14 kilos
  • Size 5 for babies weighing between 10 and 18 kilos.
  • Size 6 for babies weighing between 16 and 30 kilos.
What should I do if my nappies leak ?

Leaks generally happen when you use the wrong nappy size. If you have leaks with size 3 nappies it is time for you to change to size 4.

Could my baby have an allergic reaction to JOONE nappies?

No. As our nappies include no cosmetic products, and no chemical products which are in contact with the baby’s skin, they can cause no allergic reactions.

However, one must remember that the baby’s bottom is in contact with nappies for 23 hours every day. Menstruating women have the same problem. Spending 5 to 7 days with an intimate and fragile part of the body in contact with a sanitary towel can sometimes cause itching, irritation and discomfort... But this is more because of the friction than the product itself.

Can I change the pattern on my nappies ?

Of course, we advise you to just so you can see all our pretty patterns.

How do I register on Facebook with JOONE?

You just need to click on the ‘Connect with Facebook’ button. If you cannot see it, use the email and password you use to connect to Facebook.

Why do you want me to confirm my email address ?

This lets us be sure that you will receive the emails we send you and the information relevant to your order. We also ask you for your phone number so that we can send you a text a few days before your package is delivered.

What should I do if I forget my password?

You can go to the Login page of your JOONE account to change your password.

REFER A FRIEND SCHEME

What is the refer a friend scheme ?

The refer a friend scheme is an effective way of letting your friends know about JOONE. If you refer a friend to us, they will get 10 euros off the first month of their subscription and you will get 10 euros off your next order, making it a good bargain for both of you.

How do I refer a friend ?

You just need to go to this page and fill in the form to receive your unique referral link which you can send to your friends.
